Joanne Ruth Betkey, 79, of Temperance, MI, died Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Wellspring Lutheran Services of Monroe. She was born August 4, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, to Gerald and Ruth (Bennett) Ludwig.
Joanne retired as a sales professional with JC Penny and enjoyed interior decorating, was well organized, and a outstanding mom, grandmother and mother in law. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Joanne is preceded in death by her son, Alan Betkey; and beloved side kick, Big Mac.
She is survived by her loving children, Sheryl (Mac) McNally and Bryan (Stephanie) Betkey; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Tammy) Ludwig.
A gathering at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (At Jackman Rd.) will begin on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00pm. All are welcome to join her family for Joanne’s graveside service on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00am at Lake Township Cemetery, Walbridge, Ohio.
